UNADILLA – This weekend marks the second anniversary of the Unadilla-area chapter of Days for Girls, an international group dedicated to promoting feminine hygiene and reproductive awareness among girls in impoverished areas of the world.
The local chapter will celebrate this milestone from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 5 on Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church, 156 Main St.
Team members, who make, assemble and distribute finished, long-lasting hygiene kits specifically to Africa, are seeking the following:
Girls’ brief-style underpants in sizes 10,12,14 and 16, new and 100 percent cotton.
Flannel fabric featuring botanical or geometric patterns (no characters); pre-washed is ideal, as it can be used immediately.
