Allison Collins

Allison Collins has lived in Unadilla for the past 15 years. A native of New Hampshire, she relocated upstate before attending high school in the Unatego and Franklin districts. Allison earned a degree in English literature from Hartwick College in 2009.

While in college, Allison studied in India and England, with time spent in Wales, Spain, Italy and France as well.

Upon returning stateside, Allison married her husband John, a Unadilla Rotarian and physics, chemistry and robotics teacher at Unatego Central School.

John and Allison share two spirited daughters.

Allison joined the Tri-Town News staff in September 2015 as a reporter, becoming managing editor in early 2017. She is a longtime freelance writer with The Daily Star, the Chenango Star, Upstate Life Magazine and The Scene. Her fiction and poetry have appeared with Blast Furnace, Havok by Splickety Publishing, Shark Reef and Easy Street Magazine.
