Erik Berggren has lived in the tri-town area for all of his life. Growing up in Unadilla, Erik was homeschooled for all of his primary and secondary education; he graduated in 2013 after earning his diploma.
After a two-year break from schooling, during which he worked as Lead Supervisor for Sweet Frog of Oneonta, Erik began working toward his B.A. in English Language and Literature through Southern New Hampshire University, an effort he continues today.
At the same time he started his university education, Erik began working as copy-editor for the Tri-Town News of Sidney.
Erik is an avid soccer fan who enjoys watching all levels of play, from local to professional, as well as coaching and playing himself.
He coaches the Lighthouse Christian Academy Soccer Club and is an assistant coach with the Oneonta Soccer Club.
Erik hopes to work in an editorial capacity for a publishing house after acquiring his degree, although he is also open to careers in marketing, publicity, soccer or even owning his own business.
He is enjoying his time at the Tri-Town News and is grateful for the experience and proficiency working for the paper provides him in the fields of editing and publishing.
